BSEF becomes a member of The European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE)
BSEF, The International Bromine Council, has formally joined EASE, as member association, focused on promoting bromine-based Energy Storage technologies. This new collaboration will help BSEF to reinforce its dialogue on bromine based energy storage solutions with policy makers and stakeholders.
The European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) is the voice of the energy storage community, actively promoting the use of energy storage in Europe and worldwide. Since its establishment in 2011, EASE has supported the deployment of energy storage as an indispensable instrument to support the EU’s ambitious clean energy and climate policies. EASE members come from all sectors of the energy storage value chain and are committed to supporting the transition towards a sustainable, flexible, and stable energy system in Europe.
Bromine is an energy storage enabler. Bromine-based energy storage solutions, such as flow batteries are a highly efficient and cost-effective, providing a range of options to successfully manage energy from renewable sources, minimizing energy loss, reducing overall energy use and cost and safeguarding security of supply.
BSEF welcomes this partnership and wishes to strengthen its presence among the key stakeholders on the energy storage dialogue. Through this cooperation BSEF aims to enlarge its overview in the field of energy storage and identify the needs for the coming decades.
About BSEF
BSEF is the international bromine producers organisation. Since 1997, the organisation has been working to foster knowledge on the uses and benefits of bromine-based solutions. BSEF strongly believe in science and innovation. Through investments in research and development BSEF members create robust bromine-based technologies meeting the needs of society. The members of BSEF are Albemarle Corporation, ICL Industrial Products, Lanxess and Tosoh Corporation.
